2008-2009 Tuition, Fees and Living Costs
A rough estimate (http://explore.usask.ca/moneymatters/tuition/#costs) of university-related cost for a first-year, full-time Canadian student for September to April ranges between $13,000 and $17,000. In Saskatoon, living costs are about $1100 per month (i.e. $8,800 for the academic year). As of 2008, tuition and fees were approximately $6,000 to $7,000 depending on year of the Engineering program. International undergraduate students are assessed tuition at 2.6 times the rate for Canadian students. Financial Assistance
List of available competitive entrance scholarships
A variety ofscholarships are available to entering, transfer, international transfer, and continuing students. Note that a scholarship or bursary is taxable if it is over $3,000.
Loans are available from banks and from the federal and provincial governments. For information about summer and part-time employment, visit the Student Employment & Career Centre.
International students possessing study visas are only permitted to work on the campus where they are studying.
