The "old" EE program requires that students take five technical electives. Past university calendars divided the available technical electives into four groups: A, B, C, and D. More recently calendars grouped the courses into term 1 and term 2 electives. These groupings are for the sole purpose of indicating when the courses are offered and are not meant to divide the electives into distinct groups academically. For the purpose of completing the requirements for the degree, the department treats all technical electives as equivalent, regardless of which group they might be in. Any combination of five electives will fulfill the requirements of the program.
