The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Saskatchewan is soliciting applications for the newly-designed industry-oriented M.Sc. (IOM) program. The length of this IOM program is between 18 and 24 months.
The objective of the industry-oriented masters is to produce graduates that, once in industry, can design, build, debug and verify state-of-the-art systems with virtually no help from a colleague or supervisor. This implies they have the ability to read and understand journal papers in the theoretical area of their study, communicate with other engineers on the team and implement algorithms published in the current literature in the technology area of their study.
Basic requirements of the applicants are: (1) Strong motivation and commitment to carry out applied research in Electrical and Computer Engineering; (2) B.Sc. degree from a quality institution with an excellent GPA; (3) TOEFL score of at least 580 (paper-based) or equivalent.
